23rd of April 2014 marked a celebration day for the Dubai SSI Schaefer office. On the occasion of the 8th Annual Supply Chain & Transport Awards (SCATA) event which brings together the leading executives from the supply chain and transport sectors in the Middle East, celebrating the accomplishments of professionals in air cargo, logistics and sea freight in the region, SSI Schaefer has been one of the big winners of the night.
Nominated in the category for the Material Handling Supplier of the Year, SSI Schaefer had the opportunity to share the stage with some of the most influential companies in the region and being recognized for the hard and sustained work. “We are very happy to receive this prestigious award for the 2nd time after 2008”, says SSI Middle East & Africa General Manager, Matthias Hoewer. “It is a great achievement for all our employees and I would like to thank our customers for their continued support which made this success possible.”
The awards focused on the accomplishments of the companies in the area, in 16 varied categories, taking in the leading logistics providers, cargo operators and shipping companies that have contributed the most to the continuous growth of the supply chain and transport sectors in the region.
The winners of the SCATAs, awards which have been focused on Dubai’s leading industries since 2007, are decided by an independent panel of expert judges, who are taking in consideration the Middle East’s logistic industry’s achievements over the past 12 months.
